TAMASHA (Treasure of Animated And Mannered Shapes) Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd. has been created with the primary goal of making quality feature films in Live-Action and Animation oriented on Indian ethos and values.

Directors

Ambrish Beniwal (B. Sc., Trained in film language, 2D and 3D Animation from Zee Institute of Creative Arts, Experienced in lighting, compositing and editing)

Pradeep Nayak (Post Graduate in Mathematics, Trained in film language and 2D Animation from Zee Institute of Creative Arts, Done the Advanced Script Writing Workshop by Script Factory, London)

In order to sustain ourselves and constantly challenge our talent pool we undertake short creative tasks – be it animated short films, advertisements, music albums, storyboards for film and television, websites, publicity material, documentaries, graphic design, research, concept development, etc.  

We write our own film scripts and do the basic design and research for the concept. TAMASHA Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd. Has at least six concepts ready to be rolled out as feature films that, owing to our mastery over Animation, will be new age films with fair and sensible mix of live-action and animation. 

PLUS Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. has signed us to write and direct its next Hindi feature film which is going to be a fast paced action thriller.

We have worked with directors like Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, Rohit Jugraj and Ashok Nanda. We have been working for and with Rajtaru Studios on various projects.

Directed a couple of album songs and Documentaries for various people.

Animated the Opening credits and a few character shots for the film ‘Bhagmati, The Queen of Fortunes’ – the first full length Hindi feature film in live-action and classical animation.  

Other than that we do off and on creatives for agencies like Madison, Mudra Communications, Lintas, JWT and Rajtaru Studios (both India and Dubai); Corporates such as Godrej, Hindustan Lever, Nestle, Exide, Lipton, Laurel Wires, CEAT Tyres; television channels such as Star, Zee, SONY, SS Music, Sanskar, Satsang, MATV(London), etc. 

Our Experience and Expertise

Both the Directors, both excellent visualisers, have been working together since 1999 when they joined ZICA Studios (an animation unit of ZEE Network), Essel World, Mumbai.

In the year 2002 both of them joined SS Music for its Hindi Music channel ‘Sur Sangeet’ as its 2D Animation unit. They have created the entire 2D animated channel IDs and programme montages for the channel.

TAMASHA Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd., formerly TAMASHA Animation Studios, came into existence in the year 2003. It provided consultancy to Sanskar television Network in its capacity as a 2D Animation unit. TAMASHA is responsible for the entire channel IDs, animated slokas, programme montages. TAMASHA has also created the channel Logo, IDs and some of the programme montages for Satsang Television, a sister concern of Sanskar. Along with a 30 minute Animation film for children.

Since 2006 we, at TAMASHA, have been solely concentrating our energy on writing, design and research for feature films and have worked for the production houses like Rao & Sapru Films, Deeksha Screen Entertainment, Plus Entertainment Ltd.,  etc.

Currently we are doing pre-production for our forthcoming directorial venture.

Our Strengths:

Working as a team has made us work fast and more skillfully, being critical of our work that enhances the end product.

Have quality experience in compositing and editing.

We do detailed storyboard of the film before going on the floor – the most important factor in reducing production confusion and cost.

Trained in animation, we look at the films frame-wise, giving us an edge over most of the Hindi filmmakers.

We have a pool of young, educated and talented people in music, cinematography, editing, compositing, animation and art.
