Biography of the Directors

Pradeep Nayak

Belongs to Orissa, India

Although a post graduate in Mathematics from Sambalpur University, Orissa, Pradeep Nayak started his career as a cartoonist and illustrator in Delhi owing to his excellent drawing skills. He also worked as a communication designer/Programme Officer with a national NGO – The Indian Council of Social Marketing, New Delhi for 5 years. During this phase of his career he was also involved with various projects of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, NACO, International Red Cross Society, Commonwealth Youth Programme, NSS, World Food Programme, International Life Sciences Institute, etc.

Also he is co-author of a book called ‘Human Values – A Voyage from I to We’ with foreword by Dr. Karan Singh.

To peruse his passion of film making he shifted his base to Mumbai and started working as a trainee animator with Zee. Since then he is steadily progressing towards establishing himself as a writer and director of Hindi films.

Pradeep Nayak reads, travels, does cartooning in his free time.


             
Ambrish Beniwal

Belongs to Rajasthan, India

In addition to being a gifted artist Ambrish Beniwal is a science graduate, a trained 2D character animator with extensive knowledge in film making. Highly dedicated and focused towards his profession he is also trained in pre and post production.

His first stint in Mumbai Film Industry was in 1999, when he joined Zee as 2D/3D animator in 1999 and started working on the film ‘Bhagmati, the Queen of Fortunes’. Since then he is steadily progressing towards establishing himself as a writer and director of Hindi films.

Ambrish paints huge canvases, loves to spend time on seashores on his spare time.

Both Ambrish Beniwal and Pradeep Nayak are avid trekkers and have trekked in many parts of Himalayas in India, Nepal and Bhutan.




Filmography of the Directors 

Ambrish Beniwal & Pradeep Nayak - the extensively versatile talents, have been working in the Mumbai film industry as a team since last 9 years as writers, visualizers, trained character animators, storyboard designers, art directors, who are also proficient in publicity design and post production. Over the years they have contributed a lot to films, advertisements and television in various capacities.

As Concept Visualizers for TVC’s in India they have worked on brands such as Vodafone, Moserbaer, Phillips, Rasna; and for Intenational TVC’s the pair has worked on Lipton, Nestle, Roberto Coin and Telenor.

The team has worked on Kit Kat (International), Exide and CEAT as Animation Directors. They have directed Bengali Music Videos and a Hindi Music Video.

Other than that they’ve done storyboards for Sunny Deol’s second directorial venture ‘The Man’,  publicity design for Deepti Naval’s ‘Do Paise ki Dhoop Chaar Ane ki Baarish’, storyboards and publicity design for Ashok Nanda’s ‘Rivaaz’, art direction and publicity design for Ramesh More’s Marathi film ‘Mahasatta’ which was selected for Indian Panorama in the year 2009. They have designed supplementary posters for Prakash Jha’s ‘Aarakshan’. Brand ‘Wheel’ bagged gold at the Emvies Awards in 2009 for a short documentary done by the dyad for ‘Jatra’. Their 45 minute documentary film on Bombay Metal Exchange which includes interviews of personalities like Mr. Jignesh Shah, former Chairman, MCX and Lord R. K. Bagri, former Chairman, London Metal Exchange was highly appreciated internationally.

They are also signed as Directors with Plus Entertainment and as Writers with D Screen Entertainment for their forthcoming projects.

After their last stint as Associate Directors with Radhika Rao and Vinay Shapru under the T Series banner (for their forthcoming Sunny Deol, Kangana Ranawat starrer film ‘Happy New Year’); they are now directing a 3D Animation series for Beyond Dreams Entertainment.
